Torngarsuk

Micah al-Dujaili's vengeance flagship is overwhelmed in Marco's Jovian counterattack, its destruction becoming a costly Free Navy tactical victory.

Story so far

The Torngarsuk leads an eight-ship OPA force under Micah al-Dujaili in the system-wide coalition offensive. Micah broadcasts personal fury at Marco Inaros for the killing of his family and keeps his ships in a mutually supporting formation despite Marco's attempt to provoke them.

Marco's Pella group and ten ships burning from Ganymede converge on the formation. The close battle destroys several ships on both sides; the Torngarsuk is the last OPA ship to fall, dodging PDC fire until it loses power and detonates. Its death silences Micah's broadcast but does not spare Marco the damage, losses, and repairs his claimed victory costs.

Appearance

An armed OPA warship in a tight supporting formation, seen only through its tactical position, defensive PDC arcs, loss of power, and final detonation.

Role

Torngarsuk is the immediate casualty that lets Marco declare local victory while exposing how expensively he must buy it.

Relationships

[[Micah al-Dujaili]] — Micah commands it while pursuing vengeance for his brother's death.
[[Pella]] — Marco's flagship joins the converging attack that destroys it.
[[Free Navy]] — Its destruction is achieved only by a large, damaging concentration of Free Navy forces.
