Dr Mensah

Mensah

The Preservation leader who frees Murderbot from Company ownership, only to lose it when it chooses an unplanned freedom of its own.

Story so far

Dr. Mensah and the surviving PreservationAux members are repaired at the Company station after the pickup transport retrieves them. Mensah permanently purchases Murderbot's contract, removes it from Company inventory, and brings the team together in a hotel suite while investigations into DeltFall, GrayCris, and Company conduct begin. She explains that Murderbot can come home to Preservation as a free agent, with medical care rather than a cubicle and no expectation that it must remain security.

Mensah is prepared to serve as Murderbot's legal guardian while it learns what it wants. Her offer is compassionate and genuine, but it still gives her a role in directing the newly free SecUnit’s future. Murderbot disappears during an offshift and leaves a message that it is departing the Corporation Rim to make its own decisions. Mensah's immediate response is not recorded.
