Clip began as the tactful Martian camera operator on Monica's Rocinante documentary, using sports talk and restraint to coexist with wary subjects. After transfer to the Behemoth, he helped turn the reduced production unit into Radio Free Slow Zone.
When Ashford's loyalists attack the colonial administrative offices, Clip leaves the protected role of camera operator and assists Amos's armed defense. He is shot in the hip during the fighting and moved into a side office, where he bleeds heavily while Tilly Fagan tries to help him. Okju is dead and Monica remains at the damaged equipment, leaving the production team reduced in the middle of its most important program. His condition is critical but not yet reported as fatal.
