Prison Pocket

Story so far

Prison Pocket is a level 170 Province Boss of the Macropus Dominus species — a twenty-foot, spike-backed, furred kangaroo-demon with a lizardish face, blocking the left road in Heat Two so no vehicle may pass until it is dead. Grieving joeys lost to the endless storm, it compulsively grabs anything joey-sized — gremlins, crawlers — and crams them into its caustic pouch while cooing in an offensively fake Australian accent ('little babies... into Papa's warm, safe pouch'). It heals to full by eating the young inside, making it nearly unkillable by attrition; its only weak spot is inside the pouch.

Carl beats it by donning the Enchanted Juvenile Macropus Dominus Skin from a dead upgrade engineer, letting himself be shoved into the pouch, planting two hobgoblin boom satchels at its base, and phasing out to detonate — blowing the boss apart in an explosion of ice and kangaroo bits.

Appearance

A twenty-foot-tall, broad, fur-covered kangaroo monster with dinosaur-like back spikes, tall ears, a wide lizardish face, long clawed arms, a heavy ridged tail, and a waist pouch spilling dead joeys.

Role

A gatekeeper Province Boss on Heat Two's left road, defeated by an inside-the-pouch detonation.
