character

Beatrice

Bea · Miss Beatrice

Donut recalls Beatrice repeatedly watching recorded children's television alone, crying, and afterward giving Donut extra food, a habit Carl never noticed and finds deeply strange.

Story so far

The first practice opponent resembles a purple Teletubby, prompting Donut to insist that Beatrice frequently watched the program from a DVR. Carl remembers none of it and questions why an adult would watch a small child's show and cry.

Donut realizes in retrospect that the behavior was unusual. She recalls receiving extra food after some viewing sessions and hopes that wherever Beatrice is, she still has access to the recordings.

The memory joins the unexplained details of Beatrice's private emotional life but provides no answer for what the program represented to her.

Appearance

A human woman sitting alone before a recorded children's program, crying while a Persian cat watches nearby.

Role

Beatrice's secret viewing habit gives Donut another fragment of her former owner's unresolved inner life.

Relationships

Princess Donut — Donut remembers the habit and the extra food that followed.
Carl — He never noticed and considers the behavior bizarre.
Shadow BoxerBk 7 — The memory exemplifies television's influence on Donut's pre-crawl perceptions.
