Level-75 gorilla-shaped molten-metal boss elementals that leap from the steel-mill's river and are all but unkillable.
Slag Elementals are the neighborhood bosses of the Gasworks Screw Factory's steel-mill room — large, gorilla-like beasts made of molten metal, level 75, that leap from the three-story river of liquid steel below to cling upside-down on the walls and ceiling and hurl globs of metal at the passing racers. Like the cocaine elementals, they are *infused* (a threat to shields), but far worse: they are *regenerators*, reforming whenever their corpse falls back into the molten river, so no boss box drops unless one is killed 'dead-dead' — practically impossible. They are the Coblyn Corporation's cheap, botched factory security, now 'wildly contagious, regenerating, infused, and very pissed-off.' One globs a hole in the truck's hood, exposing the engine.
Prepotente discovers their weakness mid-race: adding any *non-molten* metal to one makes it instantly collapse back into the river, disabled until it remelts — so a single hit of cold steel (or Jurgen's hurled battle-axe) knocks them off the track for a few precious moments.
