A never-visited, hand-built maze floor of enhanced mobs — and secret front for the Pineapple Cabaret oasis.
The seventeenth floor is described by Akuma as a small, hand-built floor that no crawler ever reaches — a maze of horrible traps filled with greatly enhanced mobs from earlier floors, culminating in an all-but-unkillable floor boss. Showrunners are required to have plans ready for every floor but always just reuse old plans for anything above the thirteenth, so nobody ever scrutinizes it. Seasons ago the former crawlers Herot and Menerva won permission to build it from scratch, ostensibly to help auto-dispose of awakened NPCs and satisfy the planning requirement.
In truth the floor is a front: attached to it is the only entrance to the hidden pocket dimension they really built, the oasis called the Pineapple Cabaret. Because the approving showrunner was murdered and never filed the paperwork, the pair have run the floor's construction unsupervised every season since, invisible in the system.
