Gloom Wraith

Hunter Wraith

Higher-floor possession monster from floors 10 and 11, whose form Juice Box borrows for the rescue.

Story so far

Tipid identified the shape Juice Box took to reach Louis as a hunter wraith, noting that those are floor 10 and 11 monsters and warning that something happens when that particular wraith touches people, a problem for Juice Box rather than for her husband.

Carl describes the type as a common, terrifying mob from the higher floors. Their signature ability is possession: a wraith-possessed person can be moved like a puppet even if they are dead, and the wraith can use items from the crawler's inventory, which is exactly how Louis's No Disassemble EMP Bombs were dropped and his teleport triggered.

Appearance

A non-corporeal wraith form capable of passing into sealed rooms and taking control of bodies by touch.

Role

The monster template that makes possession-based rescue and puppetry possible.
