Mange

Mange the gnoll

Gnoll mercenary of the Dream and Corporal Pillbox's cousin, spared and sent away with the looting party unarmed.

Story so far

One of the ten gnolls from a single off-world unit that was divided across three factions on entering the dungeon; Mange ended up with The Dream. He and Lockjaw charged forward with weapons raised after Princess Donut's order froze only the eight Princess Posse converts, and lowered their guns only when Corporal Pillbox barked at them.

Pillbox stakes his cooperation on both men surviving, adding that Mange is his cousin and that his ma would never forgive him. Carl agrees nobody dies, though the two outsiders must be separated from the Posse camp: Mange is told to go with his cousin but not to loot anything, and Pillbox is ordered to disarm him and to kill him if he turns on Carl's people.

Appearance

A gnoll in the same heavy off-worlder armor as his old unit, disarmed after lowering his pulse rifle.

Role

Captured Dream mercenary whose kinship with Pillbox helps buy the whole squad's lives.

Relationships

Corporal Pillbox — His cousin, who bargained for his life
The Dream — The faction he was assigned to
Carl — Spared him but barred him from looting or from camp
Lockjaw — Fellow outsider from the same unit
