Dungeon Exit

Exiting the dungeon

The status line recording how a crawler left the crawl, and the choice Carl refuses at the tenth floor.

Story so far

Dungeon Exit is the entry in a former crawler's record that states how they got out. York's reads: took the deal at the end of the tenth floor. Everything that follows in his history - Game Guide, Guildhall Instructor in the Poetry guild, years of self-reflection, the tenth edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook, and finally a captaincy in the resistance - is what that one line bought him.

Carl is offered the same line and refuses to sign it. So does Princess Donut. Two of Quasar's three clients that day took their deals; neither was anyone in Carl's inner circle, and neither asked what they were leaving behind on The Eleventh Floor.

Role

The record of how a crawler leaves the dungeon, and the offer Carl and Donut both reject.
