A sponsored deity appears before a boon is chosen and is frozen until the crawler selects.
Baroness Victory laid out the exploit for Donut after the fact. Normally a goddess won't even appear until the crawler makes their selection, but when the deity is sponsored — as Eileithyia was by Huanxin Jinx — she arrives early and simply cannot move until the choice is made. Victory believed Eileithyia wasn't even perceiving what happened around her while frozen; the goddess afterwards looked in confusion at the soap bubbles still on her arms.
Victory called the freezing-god trick a hell of an exploit that had been around a long time, but hard to get right: first you need a choice option, then a god sponsoring it, and the choice expires within a couple of minutes. She noted all the sponsors would now be wary, and warned that she was about to get yelled at for allowing the murder of another CEO — even though it was entirely within the rules. A system warning accompanied Eileithyia's arrival: she is a deity, invulnerable on the floor, temporarily summoned, and summoning rules apply.
The rules framework the crawlers weaponize to make a god a bystander at her sponsor's execution.
