Subterfuge
The concealment effect hiding Carl's strike force, negated the instant Osvaldo's beacon lit the sky.
Story so far
Subterfuge kept Carl's small assault team hidden at the forest edge while the 103rd Recon Legionnaires drew the Madness garrison away. It was the load-bearing element of the whole plan: without it there was no sneaking into the Madness castle.
When Osvaldo's Memorial Crystal: Apito fired a prismatic beam a mile into the sky roughly a mile from Carl's position, Elle cursed and the notification landed at once: they had been observed, subterfuge was negated, and the enemy was aware of the incursion. Prepotente confirmed moments later that half the Madness forces were now coming for them.
Role
Stealth effect whose loss converts a covert infiltration into a pitched battle.
