Intrusive Thoughts Debuff

Intrusive Thoughts · intrusive-thoughts

Psionic infection that plants defeatist, self-destructive ideas in the target's own inner voice.

Story so far

Layered onto Carl with Self Harm and ten stacks of Endless Thread of Distraction, Intrusive Thoughts convinced him in his own voice that the plan was doomed, that everyone under his command would die, and that surrendering might spare them. It bled into the river of screaming souls beneath him until he could hear nothing else.

The voice of The Dagda cut through it, telling him his mind was not his weakness but the rock everything else was built on — and Carl's Mind Balance hit 16, shutting the debuff out.
