Story so far
Lucia Mar is still in with the Liaisons, and Carl hopes she stays there. Florin agrees, saying they'll see what personality she settles on when she comes back out.
His hope is that they talk her into Taking the Deal at the beginning of the Tenth Floor; if not, he'll volunteer to keep her safe, and Jurgen will do the same for reasons of his own. The liaisons are thus the pivot point for whether one of the dungeon's most dangerous crawlers walks away or keeps fighting.
