Mordecai's God Warning

Don't Do Too Much Damage

Mordecai's caution against excessive destruction, which haunts Carl as the club raid spirals into slaughter.

Story so far

Watching what Li Na's dread was doing to Club Vanquisher, Carl felt sick but did not remove the wire from his wrist — because he couldn't stop thinking about Mordecai's warning not to do too much damage. By his own reckoning the carnage was already as bad as what had happened to the Desperado Club.

The memory triggered a sudden panic: at the Desperado, when things got bad enough, everyone had been magically kicked out. Carl shook the thought off and ordered the team to move. Mordecai was also, with Tipid and Rosetta, one of the three certain the Damned Status door trick would work.

Role

The restraint Carl is violating, and the source of his dread that the club will eject them.
