Story so far
Obfuscation was the third step in Donut's assault sequence, broadcast over Warlord Chat: take the ear potion or earplugs when the first bomb drops, drink the Invisibility Potion when you can, let the mages cast Obfuscation on you, and then go up and over without stopping until you reach the enemy trenches.
The layered concealment was necessary because invisibility alone was not enough — even invisible, Donut still glittered visibly with all her stacked shields and protection spells. Alongside Obfuscation, illusionists accompanying the assault cast illusory doubles of every soldier and a few illusory war machine tanks to draw enemy fire away from the real charge.
