Wrecked capstone fortress built against further intrusion toward the gods, its living wood long rotted away.
Carl and Florin stand before the absolutely wrecked castle of the Semeru Dwarves, built as a capstone against further intrusion toward the gods. It was originally made of living wood, later encased in intricately carved stone inlaid with gemstones; the wood is gone now, rotted away, and the remaining stones barely resemble a cohesive structure.
The roof is long gone, and the cracked, sunken-in walls are covered in marks like scars from electrical strikes — actually the tracks of tree roots that grew up the walls and then rotted. The whole area is covered in wet slimy goo mixed with ash, reeking of burned fish, rotten milk, sulfur and mulch, with a shattered statue at the entrance whose wet stones glitter under the hovering Torch and Spotlight spells.
Roofless, sunken stone walls inlaid with gemstones and scarred by root tracks, its interior living wood rotted entirely away, surrounded by acid puddles and ash.
Ancient boundary fortress against approaching the gods, now a reeking ruin and staging ground.
