Story so far
There were thousands upon thousands of outworlder mercenaries in Larracos — people who had come to the floor to fight both against the crawlers and for them. All of them would be transferred out of the dungeon the moment Zerzura triggered, unlike the hired and dungeon-born mercenaries who simply disappeared into storage or the market.
Over 50,000 of them were Former Crawlers who returned specifically to fight at Carl's side; only about 28,000 remained. As they left they showered the broken city with white and gold flowers and streamers. Milk noted the others' fate was unknown to her, and the embargo meant none of them were really going home.
