A settlement castle Justice Light and Dante were assigned to guard, and the site of the massacre that broke him.
During their Indentureship, Justice Light and Dante were reassigned from merchants to NPC castle guards outside an ice castle. Damien told them the place was a settlement, just another town: they were not to stop crawlers from entering, only to keep the peace. Both hoped for a simple assignment, and for the length of the floor they got one — not a single crawler ever came.
The castle was filled with Ice Elves as servants, gentle creatures the guards came to know by name over weeks of watching them play in the snow. At the end of the floor, Damien told the two they could return to their old assignments after one last task: kill every elf inside. It was all off camera. Dante refused and was erased; Justice complied. In the dream Justice still has, he walks into the castle to find the elves already dead by their own hands, having overheard what was happening outside and chosen to spare their friend the act.
An ice castle standing in snow, guarded from outside, its halls filled with fey servants who played in the drifts.
The site of the ice elf massacre and the defining trauma of Justice Light's servitude.
