The Scorpion's Bite
Non-magical bandolier accessory that lets a quadruped mount and fire multiple ranged weapons.
Story so far
A strange device appeared on Donut's back mid-monologue, drawn from the gold benefactor box she'd received from The Apothecary — a simple gift, but with an obvious implication. It is a quadruped weapon mount called The Scorpion's Bite: a non-magical bandolier accessory that allows mounting multiple ranged weapons and may be fired and loaded via inventory action.
Katia's Enchanted Repeating Crossbow of the Scavenger Mother of Mothers formed on Donut's back attached to the mount with an ominous click, unloaded. Donut carried the weight of a crossbow bigger than she is just fine, and after Mordecai loaded a single ash-tipped bolt, the mount fired it into Huanxin Jinx.
Appearance
A harness-like bandolier strapped across a cat's back with a mounting rail, carrying a crossbow far larger than its wearer.
Role
The Apothecary's gift that turns Donut into a gun platform at exactly the right moment.
