Fabricator
Mage specialization whose single practitioner produced every magical periscope on the southern trench line.
Story so far
The black magical screens dotting the Southern Front trench parapet — effectively magical periscopes that look like little porthole windows — are all the work of a single mage, a fabricator.
That concentration is a vulnerability: the same mage has since been reassigned to the Northern Front, so if the periscopes break or are damaged the southern defenders will have to peer over the trench lip the old-fashioned way. Carl's own periscope cracks and stops working after the buried explosive line goes off, illustrating exactly the problem.
Role
Crafting specialization behind the trench observation screens, with only one practitioner available.
Relationships
Magical Periscope — Devices produced entirely by a single fabricator.
Northern Front — Where the fabricator was reassigned.
Southern Front — Position left without a fabricator to repair its screens.
