Story so far

A crawler who takes a deal and fulfills the resulting contract earns a pension. Damien warns Tipid that repairing his brain lesions at a Viceroy System "is going to cost a good chunk of your pension, but I don't see what choice you have."

The estimate proves optimistic. Tipid's record states he was forced to spend the entirety of his pension, plus take out an additional loan, to repair the extensive damage to his brain — because his contract included no Post-Release Health Care. He retired to a Crest system and took work with a waste management company, which is where a decorated level-96 Poisoner ends up when the accounting is done.
