Distraction Debuff

Madness psionic debuff that sends a target spiraling down chains of idle thought until they stop functioning.

Story so far

Carl was hit with the debuff without noticing, and it walked him from a silly argument between Louis and Elle over "Hi-Yo Silver" into memories of his father's westerns, Louis L'Amour paperbacks, and the Christmas present he was afraid to open. Imani slapped him awake and dispelled the first instance, only for ten more to land at once alongside Self Harm and Intrusive Thoughts.

The stack overwhelmed his Mind Balance and left him sitting against a tree, feet sinking into an All Tree root, while his soldiers shouted to cover the glowing ring on his hand. It stopped working entirely once Mind Balance reached level 16.

Role

The opening move of the Madness's psionic assault on Carl.
