Charles Andrew rushes into the FUPA alongside Bucket Boy, the two of them carrying a badly pulsed Yenk between them, apparently helping evacuate the overrun Field Hospital. Carl cross-references all three names against the Casualty Notification feed and finds Charles listed as dead — a level-58 human of the Armored Mage class walking and talking anyway.
Carl tackles him without warning and beats his face in with a spiked gauntlet until he dies for the second time, to Bucket Boy's horrified confusion. Moments later the worm responsible, Goldblum, crawls out of the ruined face, confirming the corpse had been a Gondii puppet used to walk an infiltrator straight into the crawlers' stronghold.
