Story so far
The hat is how Princess Donut spots Fancy Boy in the first place: among identical Skank Skunk Warriors, one slightly smaller skunk wears a blue conical wizard hat with a glittering star and planet pattern, sparkles tinkling off its point. Her magic missile knocks the wizard flat and sends the hat flying, and she claims it as loot.
It is a hollow prize. Every other piece of magical gear in the party avoided the stink, but the hat is unbearably putrid. Donut wonders whether running it through her shower or handing it to the Cleaner Bot would help; Carl doubts it, comparing the smell to cat pee — pretty much permanent no matter how many times you wash it — and says they will drain it and toss it.

Role
The chapter's only loot, and worthless because the skunk stink is permanent.
