Secured Messaging System
chat · private chat
Private chat channel the crawlers use to coordinate, and which the parlay spell will suppress.
Story so far
The chapter's turns hinge on chat. Donut uses a private channel to ask Carl whether they really trust Justice Light—"HE'S OBVIOUSLY UNSTABLE"—and to warn that Carl is betting all their lives, all while the same room continues talking aloud. Colonel Boomer breaks in from outside to report that King Rust is approaching alone and wants to talk, and Donut messages him back about the yak and then calls for Kibben and the Howdah.
Notably, Baroness Victory warns that no chat will be available during the registered Parlay itself.
Role
Command-and-control channel for the defense, deliberately cut off during the parlay.
Relationships
Donut — Uses it for private asides to Carl.
Colonel Boomer — Reports the enemy's approach through it.
