The accidental broadcast
Carl's private message to Donut misfires into army-wide war chat and drives the entire assault onward.
Story so far
Blind in the smoke with his squad stalling, Carl types "Go. Forward!" intending it for Donut alone. Instead it goes out over the Warlord Chat as Warlord Carl, flashing across every screen in the army.
They comply. The accident becomes the assault's turning point — the whole line pushes on, and Carl himself returns to his full height and runs, taking a bolt to the shoulder moments later that destroys his Tech Shield. He notes the mistake dryly, aware that the most consequential order he gave in the battle was one he never meant to send.
