One-Offs

Story so far

The One-Offs are what Volteeg and his co-workers on the Auditor General's Compliance Barge call themselves: unique, former crawlers who have no home and suffer physical issues outside the dungeon, usually because they changed their race mid-crawl and discovered the magical properties of the new body don't function beyond the dungeon walls. Volteeg can no longer sleep for long stretches or turn his skin to stone, and collapses in on himself in gravity heavier than half his original planet's.

His only real friends were his two partners on the barge: a wheelchair-bound Djinn, and a former-human Cave Fairy who can no longer fly and burns severely under most UV light. Volteeg is glad neither of them was brought to the The Solar System and dragged down to the surface to fight against crawlers — especially if what Princess Formidable said is true and everyone is going to die anyway. The Outreach Guild is what steers such crawlers into jobs that never require going down a gravity well again.

Role

The community of disabled, race-changed former crawlers who staff off-world jobs no one else can hold.
