Story so far
Dark Purpose is one of Li Na's Dreads — normally a small-area aura that only affects someone in physical contact with her, producing a sensation Mordecai had never heard of and Li Na compares to Donut's Why Are You Hitting Yourself?, lasting only a moment unless contact is prolonged. Crucially, dreads do not count as offensive magic, making it legal inside Club Vanquisher.
Run through Mistress Tiatha's wire hack and the tower-boosted signal from the Clock Tower Capacitor Wire, its radius expands to roughly twenty meters around the wires and becomes nearly impossible to escape. In the club lobby it drives Mork to pull out his own eyes and claw for his own heart, sends a mantaur's blades through his own throat, and animates hundreds of taxidermied heads and rugs into screaming life. It was level 4 when cast and hit level 15 within minutes, after which Li Na cycled to Defile Soul.
Appearance
Felt as a low-voltage tingle through the capacitor wire; visually it dims the lights, chills the air, and makes smoke settle back down into the room.
Role
The centerpiece weapon of the Club Vanquisher infiltration and Li Na's power-leveling engine.
