Credit Chit

Chit

The portable credit token Rosetta used to move a few billion stolen credits out of reach.

Story so far

Orren explains to the Syndicate prime minister that officials are trying to claw the money back, but Rosetta has already transferred it to a credit chit and then sent it off somewhere else. He confirms flatly that it is not on the chit anymore — she transferred it out.

The figure makes Carl's heart stutter when he overhears it: a few billion credits, lifted from King Rust through Colloid Bank. Because monetary transactions fell outside the Live-Feed Blackout, nothing in the system flagged or froze the transfer.

Appearance

A small transferable token that can hold and pass on arbitrary sums of credits.

Role

The instrument that made a multi-billion-credit theft irreversible.

Relationships

Rosetta — Loaded Rust's fortune onto it and immediately transferred it out
Colloid Bank — Source of the withdrawn funds
