Illegal Information Gathering

outside information rules

Rules restricting what outside knowledge crawlers may receive, carefully navigated by Odette's public-record disclosure.

Story so far

When Odette mentions Blood Hunter Holdings, Carl's immediate reflex is to ask whether that is public knowledge — because information from outside the dungeon is not something a crawler may simply be handed. Odette answers that she may have mentioned it during one of her last interviews before she came onboard onto the playing field.

That framing keeps the tip clean: the fact was already broadcast, so repeating it breaks no rule. The wink she gives Carl as she says it makes clear the disclosure is deliberate, delivered in a form the regulations cannot touch.

Role

The regulatory constraint Odette routes around to feed Carl war-winning intelligence on air.
