Freed at last of the Maggie parasite, the grief-stricken Igneous Chris is himself again and joins Carl's party to be reunited with Imani.

Story so far

Chris Andrews 2 — Brandon's transformed Igneous brother, long enslaved by Maggie My's Scree-worm parasite — is finally freed when Carl phases into his rock-body and pulls the worm from his brain. Healed by Princess Donut, he sits dazed, his first coherent words a grieving 'Brandon. Brandon,' mourning the brother who died believing Chris was angry with him.

Carl kneels to him, promising they'll honor Brandon in what comes next, and adds Chris to the party to travel down and be reunited with Imani. He inherits Maggie's looted inventory. Himself again but hollowed by grief, he is a free man at last.

Appearance

A hulking Igneous rock-crawler with molten seams, hand pressed to his rocky head, dazed and grieving; his body burning hot to the touch.

Role

The freed Igneous crawler, grieving his brother and rejoining Carl's party.

Maggie My — The parasite-master finally pulled from his brain, freeing him.
