Anti-NPC Claymore

Motion-Detecting Anti-NPC Claymore

A directional motion-triggered mine packed with orcish iron shot and aimed at Astrid's closet exit.

Story so far

Carl mounts the claymores opposite Astrid's expected exit and pairs them with a motion-detecting smoke trigger overhead. The directional blast concentrates toward the closet, though much energy still spreads compared with a magically aimed explosion.

The mines contain orcish iron BBs selected because iron is especially lethal to fairies. Rosetta's warning about fairy luck leads Carl to use redundant traps despite expecting the claymore alone to be enough.

Astrid never enters the kill zone. Instead, containment forces moving through the secret hall trigger repeated teleport traps, followed by the claymore's IED notification.

The AI reports a highly effective and gruesome result. Astrid's complaint that the vorpals are delayed suggests the mine destroys the wrong target.

Appearance

A directional wall mine filled with dark iron pellets facing a fairy-sized closet doorway.

Role

The mine is the assassination's primary weapon but probably kills released vorpals instead of Astrid.

Relationships

Carl — He designs, mounts, and monitors it.
Astrid — It is built specifically for her fairy vulnerability.
Vorpals — They are the likely actual victims.
Motion Smoke Trap — The paired sensor is positioned above the doorway.
