Room Attendant Slots

Saferoom Attendants · Attendant Slots

Paid saferoom positions that allow protected NPC attendants to live with a crawler party, limited here to six total occupants.

Story so far

Mordecai can claim one room-attendant position for himself, while the party configuration supports five additional attendants. Six is the maximum the system permits in their current space.

Hiring occupants costs recurring gold but shelters them inside the saferoom and carries them between floors. Mordecai exploits the mechanic to protect vulnerable changelings from a lethal floor-ending battle, paying more than one thousand gold daily from party funds.

The positions do not require a conventional servant's abilities. Ruby can qualify despite having no arms, and the saferoom is adapted with a custom controller for her use.

Appearance

Six glowing occupancy slots on a saferoom management panel, each linked to a protected changeling resident.

Role

The mechanic provides a legal rescue route for NPCs but creates a substantial hidden recurring expense.

Relationships

Mordecai — He fills every available slot without consulting the party.
Changeling Attendants — The six rescued changelings occupy the positions.
Ruby — Her disability does not prevent her from qualifying.
Carl — His supply contributions unknowingly fund the recurring charge.
