The Bard's Golden Throat
The Bard's Golden Throat is an amethyst-encrusted headset that auto-tunes bard magic, amplifies speech up to fivefold, and raises Charisma while equipped.
Story so far
Donut's Princess Posse selects the microphone as her platinum fan-box reward. Unlike the stage prop she wore before, the golden headset is an enchanted face accessory and does not occupy her hat slot.
Golden Throat automatically corrects songs within one and a half steps of the proper note and assists the formation of bard songs and spells. Its amplification defaults to twice normal volume and can rise to five times, while equipped Charisma increases by five percent.
The device gives Donut's speech an electronic modulation and immediately startles Mongo. Mordecai calls it a good reward with caveats, and Carl persuades Donut to keep it hotlisted for performances and emergencies.
Appearance
A golden headset microphone set with a prominent purple amethyst, appearing in a burst of violet sparkles.
Role
The microphone strengthens Donut's bard songs, social stat, vocal reach, and reliable performance under pressure.
