Havana

An illusory recording of pre-collapse Havana that the party crosses southwest while seeking roads, cards, Ines, and a Desperado Club.

Story so far

Carl, Donut, and Mongo leave the cleansed ghommid village and enter Havana. Floating heads move among apparently recorded civilians, while cameras and phones drop when Carl pushes through the crowds. Fires burn in the distance, but nearby hostile mobs remain sparse.

The city mixes useful saferooms, illusionary attractions such as a zoo, dangerous live traffic, and scattered low-level monsters that yield utility cards. A blocked stretch of freeway briefly supports the Royal Chariot before moving vehicles force the party into southern suburbs of homes, churches, apartments, shops, and corrugated hovels.

The recorded children preparing for Christmas sharpen Carl's awareness that the peaceful street scene preserves people from shortly before Earth's destruction.

Appearance

Bright Cuban streets full of recorded civilians and floating heads, with distant fire and impossible dungeon traffic.

Role

Havana is the party's current traversal zone and a disturbing preserved image of life shortly before the collapse.

Carl — He navigates southwest using a stolen paper tourist map.
Sister Ines Quiteria — The party searches the city for her.
