Ogun's Shunning

Shunned by Ogun · Flaming Anvil Mark

Ogun's shunning revokes worship, removes protective grace, and can permanently forbid healing of a chosen affliction while condemning the target beyond death.

Story so far

After Yemaya's restoration, Anton and Paz carry flaming-anvil marks and continually lose health. Ogun arrives to administer the final punishment personally.

For Paz, he briefly restores full health, then removes grace and specifically takes away the ability to heal the current condition. He says Paz will travel in darkness and cross the veil alone without armor.

The marker disappears, but the health drain immediately resumes and no ordinary heal can stop it. Paz also remembers that Ogun previously cured every other condition except Inevitable.

Anton avoids this precise sentence only because Black Nimbus removes the protection under which Ogun intended to impose it.

Appearance

A burning anvil sigil above a worshipper, followed by a divine handprint seared into the face.

Role

The shunning demonstrates how a god can edit a worshipper's ongoing conditions and afterlife protections.

Relationships

Ogun — He defines and applies the punishment personally.
Paz Lo — He receives the permanent healing prohibition.
Anton Lopez — He is initially marked but receives a different punishment.
Black Nimbus — The spell removes Anton from the mercy governing the planned shunning.
