The Chowder War Quest Failed

The original choice between monk seals and land crabs becomes irrelevant after attrition and demon interest doom both sides.

Story so far

Sister Ines warned the monk seals of the crabs' planned surprise attack, preventing a quick victory. The warning instead produced days of attritional war in which both populations, including their children, suffered devastating losses.

The previous quest fails without Carl or Donut choosing a side. The system declares that neither faction can now survive through ordinary victory because the death toll has attracted gods, demons, and an early Demon Eviction.

A replacement quest removes the choice between armies and reduces the objective to surviving and reaching the stairs.

Appearance

A split seal-and-crab quest emblem shattered beneath a mountain of casualties and a rising hell portal.

The failure marks the point where a local faction choice escalates into a dungeon-wide supernatural disaster.
