T'Ghee Card Categories

Five Card Types · Card Categories

The T'Ghee system divides cards into totems, utilities, snares, mystics, and specials, each constrained to a different target or class of effect.

Story so far

Totem cards summon a squad's six monster members. Utility cards can target one or more friendly totems, while snare cards can target only an enemy's actively summoned totem.

Mystic cards act like direct magical spells affecting squads, leaders, or decks. Special cards have varied effects and are often, though not always, single-use.

Utility buffs and snare debuffs generally remain attached through multiple summonings within the same combat. The category mix shapes whether a random hand can produce a monster, enhance it, hinder an opponent, or affect the wider battle.

Appearance

Five card frames marked respectively by a monster, tool, trap, magical sigil, and starburst.

Role

The categories define legal targets and strategic functions for every card in a deck.

Relationships
