Emberus Devotee Rank

Devotee of Emberus · Baptism by Fire

Carl's fire suffering raises him to the highest Emberus rank available without becoming a Cleric or Paladin.

Story so far

After surviving the burning hydra battle, Carl receives a church notice titled Baptism by Fire. Emberus is pleased by his suffering and promotes him to Devotee.

The rank eliminates environmental heat and lava damage, grants one daily level-ten Self-Immolation, and raises his tithe from five to ten percent. It does not protect against direct contact with flames or lava, and the system states that Carl cannot advance higher in his current class.

Appearance

Twin fire-lit hand tattoos surrounding a dark religious notification.

Role

The church reward converts Carl's pain into powerful but dangerous fire utility and a higher economic burden.

Relationships

Carl — He receives the rank after burning in the keyholder fight.
Emberus — The god grants the benefits and collects the increased tithe.
Self-Immolation — The spell is the rank's active reward.
Sheol Fire — The granted spell creates this exceptionally destructive flame.
