character

Epitome Noflex

Juice Box

Noflex declares herself the leader of an independent NPC faction, demands equal protections and voting rights, and bombs the meeting when sponsors resist.

Story so far

Noflex speaks quickly before security can converge. She mourns Firas, asks after Louis, and reports that the Princess Posse castle has landed between Operatic Collective and Blood Sultanate territory while Orc and blob forces gather together at the border.

She says Carl's arriving allies count as his team and therefore cannot speak with her. Joining them would also prevent her from killing hostile sponsors, so she instead claims an independent team. Noflex now understands her NPC origin and the sponsor war surrounding her, but insists that knowledge does not make her unreal.

She demands a tenth team for unaffiliated NPCs, with the same safety, regeneration, and voting rights as sponsor factions. Carl formally submits the proposal. Noflex warns that refusal means continued attacks, activates a pus detonator, shifts into a translucent bat, and escapes.

The blast kills the Operatic representative. An unseen helper then shoots Stalwart through the eye, confirming Rishi's observation that Noflex's infiltration network is growing.

Appearance

A bald changeling woman shifting through Orc, faceless, human, and translucent bat forms while holding a crude detonator.

Role

Noflex is the emerging leader and violent negotiator for self-aware ninth-floor NPCs.

Relationships

Carl — She trusts his earlier intervention and gets him to sponsor her faction proposal.
Louis — She sends love to her fiancé and grieves his friend Firas.
Epitome Tagg — She rejects his claim that NPCs are unreal and threatens his structures.
