character

Cascadia

Zev's Boss · Kill, Kill, Kill Lady

An exhausted Cascadia runs the Faction Wars meeting on the edge of breakdown, physically dares Carl to kill her, and refuses to intervene against self-aware NPCs.

Story so far

Cascadia appears as an aged, exhausted kua-tin representative in the tenth meeting position. She warns Carl that the council has already suffered repeated disruptions and that one more crisis could make her trigger a failsafe killing everyone.

After Carl and Donut compare her to Loita, Cascadia transfers physically into the room without protections and dares Carl to crush her, saying she would welcome their mutual end. Carl restrains himself. Cascadia then instantly returns to her polished, condescending host persona when the other factions appear.

Epitome Noflex later decapitates the Madness representative. Cascadia calls it a repeat problem and rejects Tagg's demand for intervention because Noflex is an NPC outside Carl's official team. She says the NPCs' growing self-awareness is not her responsibility and reminds Tagg he may kill Noflex himself.

Appearance

A tiny, exhausted kua-tin with long drooping whiskers, dull scales, a gill rebreather, and a brittle broadcast smile.

Role

Cascadia is the unstable production executive struggling to impose procedure on an increasingly uncontrollable game.
