character

Lucia Mar

the Lucia kid

A young, monstrously violent crawler the show frames as the season's psychopath, glimpsed beating a mantaur to death with a train.

Story so far

Lucia Mar surfaces on the recap show as Carl and the party watch from their safe room: a young crawler set up in a trainyard, methodically smashing a mantaur to death against a train, over and over. One of her two rottweilers has changed — grown huge, twice the size of the other. The party knows her only by reputation: she wrecked the Desperado Club, did something to Odette's assistant, and trash-talked Princess Donut on air; Odette flatly called her a psychopath.

Watching the season's blatant propaganda, Katia Grim wonders aloud whether Lucia is really as crazy as she's made to look, but Carl suspects the exaggeration hides a real and dangerous killer. A looming rival, still at the edges of the party's world.

Appearance

A young crawler, girlish in impression, accompanied by two rottweilers — one now grown to twice the size of the other; seen bludgeoning a mantaur against a train in a trainyard.

Role

A rising rival killer, framed by the show as the season's psychopath, still peripheral to the party.

Relationships

Carl — Watches her on the recap, unsure how much of her monstrousness is propaganda.
Princess Donut — Whom Lucia has trash-talked on air.
Odette — The host who calls her an outright psychopath.
