Living flaps of flayed skin that smother victims and reanimate their bones — the war mages' self-propagating army.
Fleshers are the war mages' signature horror on The Iron Tangle's named trains — sentient sheets of skin torn from fallen soldiers by the ninth-floor "You're Not Done Yet" spell. Manta-like and caustic-backed, they smother a victim, melt the body, and cast "Boned" to animate the leftover skeleton into a new, free-willed Symbiote like Levi the Seventh — which then becomes prey for the next Flesher, growing stronger each cycle. Aboard the Dismemberment Limited, hundreds swarm the party's barricade at Dismember's command; Princess Donut and Mongo shred the ones creeping around the edges, touching only the skin side.
Flapping, manta-ray-like sheets of pink, green, and brown skin — some hairy — that reach and slither around barriers; caustic on the back side, silent, and endlessly numerous.
Self-replicating skin-minion swarm of the war mages.
