Flesher

Fleshers · Bereft Minions · War Mage minions

Sentient flaps of flayed skin that smother victims to steal their bones — the Dismemberment Limited's swarming horde.

Story so far

Fleshers are the skin-minions of War-Mages, created by the 'You're Not Done Yet' spell: a fallen soldier's flesh is ripped from the body into a sentient, manta-ray-like flap that seeks new bones, pounces to smother and melt a victim, then casts 'Boned' to animate the resulting skeleton into a new Symbiote (like Levi-the-Seventh). Aboard the Dismemberment-Limited, hundreds swarm the barrier the party braces against — pink, green, and brown flaps that make no sound, their skin-side harmless to grip but their backs caustic. Carl, Princess-Donut, and Mongo hold them off by ripping the intruding flaps (touching only the skin side).

When Dismember-the-War-Mage dies, the leaderless Fleshers become 'Bereft Minions' and one moves to re-sleeve his corpse.

Appearance

Flat, manta-ray-like flaps of flayed skin in pink, green, and brown, variously furred; silent, fluttering, with a caustic underside.

Role

The relentless skin-horde of the War Mage trains, converting the dead into new Symbiotes.

Relationships

Dismember the War Mage — Their master aboard the Dismemberment Limited.
Levi the Seventh — The Symbiote they re-sleeve each run.
Carl — Holds them at the barrier, ripping flaps by their harmless skin side.
