Author of the cookbook's 6th edition, whose candid notes on the maddening inconsistency of portals guide Carl.
Crawler Milk is a past crawler and author of the 6th edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook. Her frank note on portals — that there are dozens of unpredictable types (some invisible doors, some you touch, some that drag you in unless you go slack, some button-sized ones that hurl you into a monster den, teleport traps the worst of all) — is what Carl studies as he puzzles out the interdiction carts' scoop portals and the abyss gateway on The Iron Tangle. Carl, himself now secretly authoring the 25th edition, appends his own notes on portal brands beneath hers.
Never described; a past crawler-author known through the cookbook.
An off-page cookbook author whose portal notes inform Carl's rescue engineering.
