Tentacled apothecary-brewers whose true nature is revealed: a lonely cloning-mother whose parasitic young are the engine of the whole train floor.
The Krakaren are octopus-like brewer-bosses Carl first fought on an earlier floor; on The Iron Tangle they run the drug warrens whose race-specific Rev-Up shots keep every mob addicted and cycling. But the floor finally exposes the deeper truth via the Crotch Dumplings that hatch from stage-three monsters: the Krakaren is a lonely, sterile apothecary-creature who can brew any substance from what she eats, and who, over a thousand failed generations (producing the floor's ghouls as byproduct), learned to reproduce by CLONING herself into swarming parasites destined to grow, link telepathically, and form a spreading collective mind. This reframes the entire Iron Tangle — the DTs, the ghoul engine, the Krakaren warrens — as one vast Krakaren breeding operation the corporation weaponized into the floor, rather than declaring bankruptcy.
A large tentacled octopus-like monster running a drug-brewing operation; its clones are rice-sized parasites that grow into more of the same.
The apothecary-mother species whose self-cloning underlies the entire floor's monster ecology and endgame swarm.
