Pooka

the goat dealers · the vitamin-shot pushers

Goblin-to-giant-goat drug-pushers of the train floor — revealed as a caricature of the Plenty, the galaxy's real telecom innovators.

Story so far

The Pooka are the dealer-bosses of the Iron Tangle who distribute the Krakaren's addictive race-specific 'vitamin shots' to the floor's mobs — goblin-like things that transform into giant goats when fought, encountered by Elle McGib and Imani rather than the party directly. Mordecai's decode reframes them entirely: they represent the Plenty, a real caprid (goat) race who invented the galaxy's tunneling communications system. By casting the Plenty as drug-pushers handing out the Krakaren's product, the floor builds its bigoted political cartoon — smearing the two as puppets scheming to hook the universe into the Krakaren collective.

The dungeon Pooka is thus a deliberate, hateful mistranslation of a benevolent people.
