Story so far
The Homeward Bound is the Iron Tangle's employee train, the line by which the floor's NPC workers commute — the train Madison's coworkers board when their shift ends, only to be told overtime is mandatory. Widget tells Carl it's "locked up tighter than an octoid's cunt," meaning the party has the employee track to itself as they steam the Nightmare Express along the service line between Substation E's stations toward station 60 and the dorms.
Appearance
An Iron Tangle line-train (undescribed) reserved for staff commuting between stations, kept locked to crawlers.
Role
The staff commuter train whose locked status frees its track for the party's escape route.
