Imani

Imani fears the operation is losing control when Apito moves Signet into the sealed room and reminds Carl that many lives depend on their improvisation.

Story so far

Imani immediately asks why Signet is inside when the reserve plan required her elsewhere. She observes that an ally trapped in the same room cannot draw the queen away or assist from outside.

Carl explains that the ritual's guest list is designed to test Imogen by including enemies. He reframes Signet as the queen's first target and a few extra seconds of escape time if the seal breaks. Imani remains uneasy, saying every element is going off the rails and people are depending on them.
